With a 2cm-thick ceramic wall, the Kamado has an enormous heat storage capacity, which absorbs heat for hours, distributes it evenly over the wall and releases it into the interior. Together with the air-tight lid, the grill uses very little fuel – up to than 50% less than conventional grills – to reach temperatures between 110° and 400° C. In addition, the dome shape creates a warm suction like a conventional oven which can be controlled via the vent holes on the ground and in the cast iron forge.
