Argentine Asado BBQ Cross. Asado’on the cross’ or’a la cruz’ – perfect for cooking a whole lamb, goat or small pig. The Sizzle Grills Argentine Asado Cross is the proper head-turning bit of kit for whole animal grilling in true Gaucho style. It might appear daunting but it is far easier than you would imagine and a huge amount of fun to use with family and friends. The main pole is 1.3m high and slots easily into its adjustable base. It has 3 cross arms that can be easily moved up and down the pole as necessary. The Sizzle Grills cross differs from others on the market. The adjustable base holds the main pole securely in place because the pole is round and not bar. The cross can rotate without removing it from the base and can also be inverted to turn the animal upside down with having to remove it from the cross. Weight-wise a 28kg lamb is the most I have had on the cross and it held up well. I would not recommend much more though. Last year I grilled over 50 lambs on my old faithful so I know they last.
