The BBQ Smoker also comes with an additional food grill plate that can be placed in the smoking chamber so that you can cook directly within the smoking chamber if desired. An integrated cooking thermometer on the lid displays the temperature, which can be controlled by adjusting the vent located on the side of the smoking chamber. The vent lets you regulate the oxygen supply in the cooking chambers, thus allowing you to increase or reduce the heat. Attached to the BBQ is a wooden work surface that offers space for plates and equipment to help when serving up the food. The base and mid level have underlying water pans to create the smoking effect and the lid has an internal hook system to enable you to hang food like fish and bacon for smoking. An air dumper flap and 2 doors help to control the air flow inside the cooker and can be opened and closed to help control and regulate the air going through in order to increase or reduce the cooking temperature. The Classic Barrel BBQ has a large single cooking area, with a warming shelf above the grilling area to keep your food warm. The barrel situated below the main BBQ drum allows for the BBQ to be turned into a smoker by placing wood chips inside the small barrel. The temperature and smoke can be controlled via the 4 vents located on the BBQ (2 either end of the bottom barrel, and 2 either side of the lid). The small barrel underneath the main BBQ barrel can also collect ash from the main barrel and can be emptied once full. The Classic Barrel BBQ comes with two foldable preparation areas; The main large front bench allows you to cut and prepare your food, and the smaller side bench can act either as a second preparation bench or a storage area. Both shelves can be folded down by gently lifting the entire shelf unit and folding downwards. This allows for the BBQ to be stored in smaller spaces.
